Cacao Ceremonies

What is cacao?
Cacao is the raw, unprocessed seeds or beans of the cacao tree. It is nutrient-dense and contains compounds that can lift mood and provide steady energy.

A cacao ceremony is a coming together of people who drink cacao, often gathering in a circle with music, a blessing and drinking of cacao.

Cacao can make you feel uplifted and can give you energy with a caffeine-type hit.

I started to get into cacao after becoming aware of sound therapy and by following certain people on Instagram.  I did more research into cacao and saw the benefits that it can give to people, both in mind and body.  In 2025, I became a cacao ceremony facilitator, and I undertook more research into cacao and its origins and uses in Mexico in 2026.

Now, I love making it for myself and for others… the smell of it, the look of it and sharing it with others. I find the whole ceremony such a strong and positive experience, and want to share this with others

Using Mortar Pestle cacao yogivani

I completed my cacao ceremony facilitator training in January 2026. This allows me to share the many powerful properties of this plant medicine with others.

Used in intimate gatherings, the cacao can have heart-opening and mood-lifting properties and help to set intentions.

It is often used before sound healing or restorative/yin yoga as it can help people feel more open and present.

Currently being used at my local yoga studio, I would like to collaborate to use it in conjunction with sound and yoga at other venues.
